摘 要:新闻在人们生活中扮演着重要的角色,一条新闻点击率的高低往往跟标题的选择有很大关系。一方面,为了吸引读者,新闻标题应力求新颖。而另一方面,为了适应版面的要求,它又必须精炼简洁。为了提升新闻标题对国内外读者的吸引力,本文试图从生态翻译学的视角,结合其相关的理论来探究新闻标题翻译的方法。从生态翻译学领域的相关理论出发,翻译新闻标题时要注意以下两个问题:一,适应新闻标题翻译的生态环境;二,在语言、文化和交际三个维度做出选择。生态翻译学为翻译理论研究提供了崭新的视角,刷新了人们对于翻译研究的认识,对于新闻标题英译具有一定的指导意义。News is an indispensable part in our life, and news headline is the soul of news coverage. On the one hand, novelty is required in a news headline to attract readers. On the other hand, the essence of news needs to be extracted for publication. To attract foreign readers, this paper aims to look into how to translate news headlines based on Eco-translatology and other relevant theories. The author holds that two important steps are involved in the English translation of news headlines: firstly, it is translator’s adaptation to the eco-environment of news translation. The second is the adaptive selection of translators, namely, the analysis and choices made between language dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension. Based on the theory of eco-translation, translators can have a comprehensive understanding on the translation of news headlines. Thus, both the skills of translators and the quality of translation will be improved, contributing to the development of translation studies.
