基于文献引用视角的英语学术写作中写作者声音的建构

摘  要:写作者声音的建构是学术英语写作中的重要环节,文内引用作为学术写作中写作者声音建构中话语实践的一种基本修辞特征,尚未得到充分的研究。本研究从语言的元功能视角,分别对20篇中国新手作者和英国新手作者的博士论文进行了实证分析和比较。结果表明,与英语母语作者相比,国内初级研究者在“引用形式”、“引用内容”、“引用策略”和“文本实现形式”四个维度上基于文内引用构建作者声音的能力存在一定差距。本文的研究结果对国内英语学术论文写作者建构写作者声音具有启发性而非决定性的意义。强调了提高写作者对英语学术写作中文内引用在构建作者声音中重要作用的认识,对英语学术写作教学具有指导意义。The construction writer’s voice is an important link in academic English writing. As an essential rhetorical feature of discourse practice in the authorial voice construction in academic writing, citation has not been fully studied. From the perspective of meta-function of language, this study explores and compares authorial voice constructed in citation in 20 doctoral theses written by Chinese novice writers and native English novice writers respectively. The results show that compared to the native English writers, the Chinese novice writers displayed differences in the ability to construct the authorial voice based on academic citation in four dimensions which are “citation form”, “citation content”, “citation strategies” and “text realization form”. The present results are more suggestive than deterministic for novice researchers in China to construct the authorial voice in L2 academic writing. It highlights the importance of promoting novice writers’ awareness of the role of citation in constructing authorial voice in English academic writing and has guiding significance for teaching of English academic writing.
