摘　　要：演讲术是人类社会文明与智慧的结晶。斯蒂芬·卢卡斯《演讲的艺术》(中国版)全书蕴含着作者丰富的思想内涵,体现着鲜明的时代特征与浓郁的中国特色,折射出作者浓厚的艺术素养及独特的分析能力。作者用平实的语言阐释道理,用经典的实例揭示演讲的本质,从而扩大了中国读者研究演讲学的视野。本文客观地分析了卢卡斯《演讲的艺术》的亮点及不足之处,也根据教学中的体会,提出了自己的见解,旨在使更多的读者和演讲爱好者能够受益。The Art of Public Speaking is the fruit of human civilization and wisdom. Stephen Lucas’s The Art of Public Speaking which contains a wealth of ideas on content and embodies the characteristics of the times, has a reflection of artistic accomplishment and unique analytical skills. The author of the book made interpretation of truth with plain language and revealed the nature of speech with classic examples which expanded the Chinese readers’ vision in the study of public speaking. This article not only made an objective analysis of the highlights and shortcomings of the Lucas’s The Art of Public Speaking, but also according to teaching experience put forward views to recommend it to more readers so that they can benefit.
