关联理论视角对《面纱》中译本分析——以于译本为例

摘　　要：斯珀伯与威尔逊在《关联性:交际与认知》中提出关联理论。关联理论中,关联性被看作是输入到认知过程中的话语、思想、行为、情景等的一种特性。认知原则和交际是关联理论的两大原则。本文以关联理论为支撑,通过意义的表达和文化内涵的明示两个方面,对英国作家威廉·萨默塞特·毛姆的长篇小说《面纱》进行分析,论述小说翻译中语篇关系、选词用词的重要性。Sperber and Wilson proposed the theory of relevance in “Relevance: Communication and Cognition”. In relevance theory, relevance is seen as a characteristic of the discourse, thoughts, behaviors, situations, etc. that are input into the cognitive process. The cognitive principle and communication are the two major principles of relevance theory. This article is supported by the theory of relevance and analyzes the novel The Veil by British author William Somerset Maugham from two aspects: the expression of meaning and the expression of cultural connotations, discusses the importance of discourse relations and word choice in novel translation.
