多模态话语分析视角下纪录片字幕翻译中的国家形象建构研究——以《天山南北——中国新疆生活纪实》为例

摘　　要：多模态话语分析注重各个模态话语之间的相互作用,共同进行意义建构。电影作为文化交流和传播的重要载体,是一种典型的多模态语篇。影片中的字幕翻译需要语言、图像、声音、动作等多种符号相互配合,才能有效地向观众传递信息。本文以纪录片《天山南北——中国新疆生活纪实》为语料依托,以多模态话语分析理论框架为基础,通过分析该纪录片的字幕翻译,探究各个模态之间如何协同作用,为整合建构国家形象,凝聚观众民族认同感。Multimodal discourse analysis pays attention to the interaction among modal discourses and constructs meaning in an integrated manner. As an important carrier of cultural communication, film is a typical multimodal discourse. Subtitle translation requires the cooperation of language, image, sound, action and other symbols in order to effectively convey information to the audience. Based on the documentary Beyond the Mountains—Life in Xinjiang, and the theoretical framework of multimodal discourse analysis, this paper explores how the subtitle translation works synergistically, so as to construct a national image and unite the audience’s sense of national identity.
