Michel Foucault’s theories of discourse, power, and subjectivity provide theoretical foundation for analyzing Tara’s growth from ignorance to seeking knowledge and attaining knowledge, as well as for deeply exploring the intricate relationships and interactive logic among education, power, and the construction of subjectivity. Education is not merely the transmission of knowledge. It can reshape an individual’s cognition, values, and identity, helping the individual move from being dominated to being autonomous, from the social margins to the center, and achieve a transformation and elevation in status within the social power structure.
