摘  要:Maternal diabetes during pregnancy carries potential risks for both the mother and the developing fetus. The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the morbidity and mortality outcomes among infants born to mothers with diabetes, and to determine the key maternal and neonatal risk factors associated with these outcomes. This was a retrospective, observational study designed to provide a descriptive and analytical assessment of the data, conducted over a one-year period in the Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of CHU MED VI in Oujda, between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. The results showed a prevalence of 11.23%. The parturients had a history of abortion, preeclampsia and intra uterine fetal death. The sex ratio was 1.81, with an average weight of 3302 g. Respiratory distress was the most common complication followed by prematurity, macrosomia and congenital malformations. Uncontrolled diabetes was associated with serious neonatal complications, as well as advanced maternal age and grand multiparity. The findings underscore the necessity of providing specialized care and close monitoring for newborns born to mothers with diabetes, along with a multidisciplinary care model to address the management of any neonatal complications that may arise.Maternal diabetes during pregnancy carries potential risks for both the mother and the developing fetus.
