摘 要:作者通过调查发现欠发达地区的农村小学英语教师语音整体水平较低,其中超音位水平又低于音位水平。文章认为造成这一现象的主要原因是因为这一地区农村小学英语教师的学历层次较低、专职教师较少。另一方面,单音的掌握相对于超音位而言要相对容易,因此教师们基本具备这方面的知识。调查还表明欠发达地区的农村小学英语教师非常重视语音学习,渴望能有老师系统的指导。文章最后提出了具有针对性的语音培训模式,指出培训应重视语音意识,教给他们科学的练习方法,以达到自我监控及自我评估。A survey of the primary school teachers of English in the rural area of underdeveloped area shows that their present phonetic proficiency is rather low,in which the suprasegmental proficiency is even lower than the segmental proficiency.The reason lies in their low educational level and the limited number of professional English teachers.On the other hand,the fact that segmental knowledge seems easier than suprasegmental knowledge results in their mastering of the former.Another fact found in the survey is that the teachers pay great attention to the learning of phonetics and hope to learn that under the instruction of instructors.The essay,at the end,puts forward the training mode,pointing out that such training should focus on the phonetic awareness,the scientific method of practicing,so that the aim of self-monitoring and self-evaluation will be achieved.
