摘　　要：语言能力是运用语言进行交际的能力,它可以简化为表达和理解两个方面。影响语言理解的因素有两个即语境因素和社会文化因素。提高学生语言理解能力应从两个方面着手,即语言知识的积累和文化知识的积累。因此在教学中既要重视语言知识的教学又要重视文化的导入。Linguistic competence is the competence with which people communicate with each other.It can be simplified to ex- pression and understanding.There are two factors affecting language understanding,that is the context and the culture.To improve students understanding of English we can start with two aspects——the accumulation of language and the accumulation of culture. Therefore teachers should attach importance to the teaching of culture as well as language.
