摘　　要：在信息时代,多媒体辅助外语教学越来越成为大学英语教学的主潮流。教育部高教司于2004年1月颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》中明确指出,“各高等学校应充分利用多媒体和网络技术,采用新的教学模式改进原来的以教师讲授为主的单一课堂教学模式”,教学模式改革应使英语教学朝着“个性化学习、自主式学习方向发展”,尤其要确立学生在教学过程中的主体地位,应充分调动教师和学生两个方面的积极性。那么支撑多媒体网络教学的理论基础是什么?其具体模式是什么?有怎样的优势和问题?本文将对此加以探讨并提出自己的一些建议。In this age of information, computer assisted language teaching is more and more applied in the national college English teaching.
