摘 要:主位推进模式理论是分析篇章段落中连续分句中主位、述位之间关系的一种理论,是分析篇章微观结构的重要手段。Halliday将信息结构与主述位结构分离的观点以及Danes的主位述位出现顺序决定语篇信息结构的观点为进一步划分主位推进模式提供了理论基础。通过了接主位推进模式,可以帮助作者们更好的构建篇章的整体框架。因此主述位推进理论对英语的写作、阅读等教学工作有重要的指导意义。Thematic Progression (TP) Theory indicates the relationship between themes and rhemes of different clauses in the hierarchy of the text. It is the best way to analyze the microstructure of a text. Based on Halliday s argument on the departure of Theme - Rheme and Given - New as well as Danes' claim that the organization of information in texts is determined by the progression in the ordering of utterance Themes and their rhemes, a variety of types of thematic progression could be presented to highlight their reflection on the development of coherent texts. By getting a through understanding of TP Patterns, the writers can better work out the skeleton of the plot and it will be of great significance to the teaching of English writing and reading.
