摘　　要：实施西部大开发战略,是党中央面向21世纪作出的重大决策。而高校作为培养高素质人才的基地和科学技术创新的主要源泉,在西部大开发过程中必须做出应有的贡献。西部高校应该抓住时机,主动肩负起为中国西部大开发战略提供人力资源和技术资源的重任。The West Development strategy is the great resolution of 21st century made by the Party Central Committee.The colleges and universities,as the bases for high quality talents and technological innovations,should make their due contributions to the development of the West.Therefore,the West colleges and universities should seize the opportunities and shoulder the responsibilty of providing China's West Development strategy with human resources and technology resources.
