摘　　要：本文通过对亨利.詹姆斯的作品《一位女士的画像》中的人物伊莎贝尔的心理描写和分析,指出其在欧美文化冲突过程大背景下的心理的演变过程。同时指出伊莎贝尔这个人物在亨利.詹姆斯的作品中的位置及意义。Herry James(1843-1916) is a famous American novelist and critic of literature.His series of novels are based on the background of Europe and America.Among his works,The Portrait of a lady,is the greatest works of his.In the works he describes the character's mental activities in detail.In the novelThe Portrait of a lady,the events and plots are developed through the changes of Isbel's feelings and mental activities.Although James puts the focus on one character,what he shows us is varous spirits of the char...
