Set in a posthuman world,Kazuro Ishiguro's Never Let me Go narrates an extremely sad and chilly story of a group of clones who are created by man for the purpose of organ transplantation. This paper aims to explore Ishiguro's peculiar presentation of interactive relationship between man and posthuman(clones). While the clones transform themselves into human beings through education and their ethical choice, the human become the posthuman the moment they transplant the clones' organs into their own bodies. The boundary and power structure between the human and the posthuman are blurred and overturned through the clones' choice of death.By describing this imaginary posthuman world,Ishiguro strongly criticizes the consequences anthropocentrism and technology bring about, and forces us to reflect upon the meaning of being human in an ethical sense.
