积极进取 开创电大继续教育新局面——全国电大继续教育协作会第三次会议综述

摘　　要：全国电大继续教育协作会第三次会议今年8月14日至8月18日在哈尔滨召开。这次会议有协作会的41个理事单位和部分地市级电大的主管继续教育工作的领导以及特邀嘉宾113人出席。这次会议的主题是“现代科技发展与远程继续教育”。会议的主要任务是学习、交流、研讨和项目推展。会议收到论文63篇。会议期间,8个省级电大的代表在大会作了经验交流和专题发言;中央电大还开展了项目推展活动,推出了“计算机在人员管理中的应用”、“世纪之交的全球企业发展”、“国际财务与会计证书”、“商务英语”、The third meeting of the National TV University Coordination Conference on Continuing Education was held in Harbin, northeast China, from 14th to 18th of August, 1998. The subject of the meeting is Distance Continuing Education And The Development Of Modem Science And Technology. The main task of the meeting is to leam from each other, to exchange opinions, to deliberate problems and to develop projects. 113 were present at the meeting. Among them were representatives from 41 units of the council and those who had been specially invited. 63 theses were submitted to the meeting, which can be roughly divided into the following four categories: 1. Theses on the role that continuing education plays in the strategies of developing the country by relying on science and education, theses on the advantages of TV universities in undertaking continuing education, and those on learning society, on knowledge economy and continuing education. 2. Theses on the managerial mechanism, networking and the improvement of the academic level of the faculty. 3. Theses on the exploitation of new projects, the development of courses and the building of quality control systems. 4. Theses on the application of modem science and technology in continuing education. At the turn of the century, the change of situation has very close relation to continuing education. Distance continuing education in our country is the strategy to fulfill the task of developing the country by relying on science and technology, and is also an important work which provides economic construction with knowledge and intellectual supports. In their exchanges of opinions, the participants shared the same view, i.e., in carrying out continuing education, one must have sense of foreseeing, sense of crisis, sense of competitiveness, sense of service, sense of quality, sense of social benefit, sense of cooperation and sense of innovation.
