摘　　要：全文分四个主要部分来论述:1)机器翻译在科技文化交流中的意义;2)许多国家都认识到机器翻译研究的艰巨性;3)中国机器翻译研制情况;4)介绍中国两个有代表性的机器翻译系统。This article covers the following four parts:1) The significance of machine translation insci-tech cultural exchange; 2) The difficulties in machine translation research world-wide; 3) The state of art in the development and manufacturing of translation machines inChina; and 4) The introduction of two representative machine translation systems in China.
