模糊限制语在大学英语课堂教学中的利弊探析

摘　　要：多数学者注意到了模糊限制语在大学英语课堂教学中的积极作用并且在不同语用理论的框架下进行了研究。笔者认为只是片面强调积极作用是不够的,应该对其进行全面研究。因此,在初步探讨了模糊限制语语用功能形成的基础上,笔者指出它在大学英语课堂上对师生而言所具有的积极功能以及过分使用模糊限制语所带来的消极影响。Most scholars have noticed the positive functions of hedges in college English classrooms and have elaborated on them under various pragmatic frameworks. The author of this paper holds that this biased view is not fair, and people should have a balanced under-standing of hedge's functions. So following an explorative discussion of its pragmatic basis, the author points out both its advantages re-sulting from proper use and disadvantages due to excessive use to teachers and students in college English classrooms.
