摘　　要：理查德·威尔伯是美国当代诗坛上传统诗歌的典型代表诗人,其诗歌语言纯朴、简练,韵律优美,寓意深远,善于通过隐喻引出简单表象下的哲理。本文通过分析"事件"、"作家"和"旅程"等几首代表诗篇,探讨诗人如何通过独具匠心的"隐喻"技巧的应用,将其内心的感受、对世界的感悟和诗歌的热爱同日常生活细节相对应,使读者在简单而又巧妙的对比中领略诗歌之美,发现生活哲理。Richard Wilbur,the famous contemporary poet,is considered America's finest representative in traditional meters and forms.His poetry is characterized by simplicity and brevity of language,formal and refined structure as well as careful crafting of metaphors which usually reveal an unexpected truth deep under the surface.Taking several poems as examples,such as'An Event','The Writer'and'The Ride',this article attempts to analyze Richard Wilbur's deft use of metaphors through which his inner feeling,his perception of the world and love to poetry are so naturally connected with the things in daily life that the readers will easily find the beauty of poetry and the truth of life through these comparisons.
