摘　　要：人的认知活动需要对相关信息进行激活,还需要对无关信息进行抑制。梳理隐喻理解中关于抑制机制的理论及相关实验,指出与字面语言理解一样,隐喻的成功理解也需要抑制机制的作用,喻体上义得到激活,喻体本义受到抑制,抑制机制起到把关人的作用。Cognitive activity includes not only the activation of relevant information,but also the inhibition of irrelevant information.Combing metaphor comprehension theories and experiments about the inhibition mechanism,pointing out that the inhibition mechanism that underlie literal language comprehension is also crucial for metaphor successful comprehension.The superordinate category of the vehicle is activated,its basic-level meaning is suppressed.Inhibitory mechanism plays a gatekeeper role.
