摘　　要：西方人和中国人思维方式的不同导致了英汉两种语言表达形式的不同。西方人注重客体思维,因而英语中常常使用非生物词作句子的主语;而中国人则注重主体思维,汉语习惯于用生物词作主语。本文拟就英语中非生物主语结构进行分析与归纳,以探索其翻译的规律与转换手段。The different mode of thinking between the Western people and Chinese people lead up to the different form of expression between English and Chinese.The Western people pay attention to object thought and often use inanimate words as subjects in sentences.While Chinee people lay stress on subject thought and animate-subjects are customarily used in Chinese expressions.This paper presents a thorough study and analysis of English inanimate-subject patterns and discusses some methods of their translation.
