摘  要:本文采用语义和句法并重的方法对没有交替形式的英语存现动词重新进行了分类 ,并在此基础上对其习得路径提出了假设。通过实验 ,所提的假设基本上得到了证实。结果表明 :英语存现动词独特的语义和句法表征与汉语相关的特征共同作用 ,对不同动词习得的认知过程产生了不同性质的影响 ,是造成动词die→发生动词→存在 出现动词这一习得路径的主要原因。Adopting the approach of semantics-syntax interface, the present study re-classifies the non-alternating English verbs of existence/appearance, and then, on the basis of the analysis, hypothesizes on the route that Chinese EFL learners may follow in acquiring these verbs The hypotheses have been basically confirmed, in the ensuing experiment which, among other things,shows that Chinese EFL learners follow the acquisition route of verb die →verbs of occurrence→ verbs of existence/appearance This route of acquisition is regarded as resulting from the impacts of different nature exerted onto the cognitive processes of verb acquisition by the interaction of unique LSR and ASR of E/A verbs and their Chinese counterparts The classroom setting could be the indirect cause of incomplete acquisition prevalent among the learners
