摘 要:现在学术界沿习的禅让说起于儒家或起于墨家的提法是不准确的,因为这种提法将中国古代存在的禅让制与某家的社会理想混为一谈。虽"孔子、墨子俱道尧舜",皆主张尊贤,但墨家反对"亲亲有术"的提法,故《唐虞之道》一文显非墨家之言。《唐》文是提倡实行禅让制的。孔子"祖述尧舜,宪章文武",推崇周礼,并不主张传贤制,然战国诸儒取舍不同,故有倡言禅让者亦不足怪。从思想和语言特征上看,《唐》文显然亦非纵横家之言。The fomuation,now continuig in the academic circle,that the saying of abdicating the throne in favor of another sagacious person originate from Confucianism of Mohist school is not accurate,because this formulation confused the clan system and that of tribal union with the social ideal of a school.Though both Confucius and Mozi uphold the governing principles of the sages of Yao and Shun and advocate venerating the virtous and able,yet the Mohist school objects to emtional attachment among family members.So,the thought of Tang Yu Zhi Dao(The Governing Principles of the Sages of Yao and Shun)obviously ought not to be attributed to the Mohist school,for this article upholds abdicating the throne in favor of another person. Though Confucius follows in the ways of the ancient sages of Yao and Shun,uphold laws and institutions of kings Wen and Wu of Zhou,and held rites and rituals of Zhou in esteem,he did not advocate abdicating the throne in favor of another sagacious person.Yet,Confucian scholars in the Warring States Period accepted different views of former scholars,it is not strange for some Confucian scholars to uphold abdicating the throne in favor of another person.By the characteristecs of ideology and language,The Governing principles of the Sages of Yao and Shun should obviously not be attributed to the school of the Political Strategists.
