摘　　要：苦瓜富含多种生物活性成分,具有降血糖、抗病毒、抗肿瘤、抗生育、抗氧化、抑菌等功能特性。综述了苦瓜的保健功能以及其在食品、医学领域的应用研究进展,并展望了其研究和应用前景。There are various biological active components in bitter melon (Momordica charantia) which have exhibited many kinds of functions,including hypoglycemic,antiviral,antitumor,antioxidant,antispermatogenic,antimicrobial properties and others. The latest progresses of the research about the health protection functions of bitter melon and the applications of bitter melon in food and medicine fields were dealt with. Some respects of investigation which need further study were proposed.
