再论英语被动句之焦点

摘　　要：英语被动句的焦点之争由来已久,语言学界所持观点主要有两种:一是强调受事者说,二是强调施事者说。对这两种观点进行分析,并追寻其主要理论依据,同时,试图找出这两种观点可能存在的共性并总结出英语被动句信息焦点的最终之所在。The focus of passive form has been a long controversy among linguists with no compromises attained. This paper, therefore, traces the theoretical grounds for two main different viewpoints and explores their common foundation. Moreover, it proposes the basic rule for the focus of passive voice, namely, new-information oriented rule determined by discourse-pragmatic factors.
