摘　　要：“扁食”一词同时出现在北方方言和闽语区中,而在它们二者之间的吴、粤、湘、赣等几大方言区则很少见,它可以看作是一个具有一定历史层次的特征词,说明汉语北部的方言和南部的方言在历史上的联系是很紧密的,从而否定了汉语南北方言有两个源头的说法。The word “Bianshi” stride over a great piece of dialect district such as Wu, Yue, Xiang, Gan dialect districts, and appear in North dialect and Min dialect simultaneously. It can be regarded as a characteristic word that has historical arrangement by all means. Thus it shows there is a close relation between north dialect and south dialect, and denies such parlance that there are two headwaters between north dialect and south dialect.
