摘　　要：本文分析了日本私立高校在发展中所呈现出来的特点,认为教育的民主化和法制化、政府的资助、办学类型与结构的多样性、办学的灵活性和个性以及注重办学效率和质量是日本私立高校得以不断发展壮大的原因。重视并借鉴日本的成功经验对于我国民办高等教育的发展和研究具有重要的启示作用。The essay analyses the features in the development of Japanese private higher education. It holds that the democratization and legalization of education, government finance, the diverse type and structure, flexibility and individualism as well as paying attention to efficiency and quality in running school are the causes leading to the development and prosperity of Japanese private higher education. Japanese successful experiences can be a revelation for the development and research of our country civilian-run higher education.
