刍议以学生为中心的高校外语教学

摘　　要：在过去二十多年里,高校外语教学不仅在教学理论方面,而且在教学实践上都发生了惊人的变化,学生学习质量及综合运用语言的能力不断得到提高。但在外语教学取得可喜成绩的同时,我国高校外语教学中还存在需要改进之处。文章在分析了目前我国高校外语教学现状之后指出,要想根本改变高校外语教学的现状,我们必须从教学理念上进行转变,要从以教师为中心的教学模式向以学生为中心的教学模式转变,把培养人才及培养学生获得如何学习的方法当作我们教学的首要任务。In the past 20-odd years, there have been great changes in foreign language teaching not only in teaching theories but also in teaching practice, and students have made much progress in their studies and in their abilities to use a foreign language. Although encouraging progress has been made, there is still much room for improvement in language teaching at colleges and universities in China. The author of this paper gives an analysis of the present situation of language teaching at colleges and universities in China, and points out that in order to better the present situation we must change from the teacher-centered mode to the student-centered mode, and regard it as our main educational task to mould and train students' character and to help them to adopt an effective learning method.
