摘　　要：从古到今,“许”字身兼多义,有些义项尚无确诂,即使是大型工具书,所引书证亦有溯源不尽之处,故予以补充、疏解。Ever since the ancient times, the Chinese character, “xu”, has many interpretations, some of which can’t be exegetically studied exactly. Even in large-scale reference books, some written proofs have not been traced back to the sources. That’s why the writer has written this paper.
