摘　　要：通过对美国女作家西尔维亚·普拉斯所著《钟形罩》的分析,探讨了作品所表现的深刻思想和那个时代知识女性所面临的困境与压力,揭示了当时知识女性精神追求与社会环境的冲突,也尝试寻找作者死亡的原因。By analyzing 'The Bell Jar'written by American woman writer Sylvia Plath, this article explores the profound thinking the book expressed and the difficult situation and the pressures the women intellectuals were facing at that time. It also reveals the conflict between their spiritual pursuits and the social environment. It tries to find out the reason for the writers death as well.
