摘 要:现代化是传统社会利用不断增长的知识和能力以改造自然、社会和人向现代社会转变的世界性历史进程;教育是一个民族最根本的事业,在现代化发展进程中起着基础性的作用,也是一个国家全面现代化的动力源之一。邓小平教育思想中的逻辑线索是教育(基础)———科学技术(关键)———现代化(目标)。把教育放在优先发展的战略地位,既符合当今世界现代化的一般规律,也是当代中国实现现代化的必然要求;教育、科技、经济之间相互依存、相互促进的辩证统一关系的最终指向,是实现富强、文明、民主的现代化国家;在推动国家现代化的进程中,教育自身也要实现现代化。Modernization is a worldwide transition process in which traditional society exploits the increasingly growing knowledge and capability to transform the nature, society and human beings in order to modernize society. Education is the most fundamental cause of a nation and plays a basic role in modernization. It is one of the driving forces for a nation to realize modernization. The logical threads of Deng Xiaoping's educational ideas are education (basis)science and technology (key)modernization (target). It accords with the universal law of worldwide modernization to put education in a strategic position, which should have priority to be developed, and it is also the necessary requirement of the realization of modernization in contemporary China. Education, science and technology, and economy contribute to a dialectical unity that is interdependent and are reinforced mutually, and its ultimate target is the realization of a rich, civilized, and democratic modernized country. In the process of moving toward national modernization, education itself also needs to be modernized.
