摘　　要：比较1978年版<汉英词典>、1995年版<汉英词典(修订版)>及2000年版<新时代汉英大词典>的一些例证内容,文章认为,汉英词典的编纂已从特定历史时期的政治文化情结转至为读者提供信息文化的理念上来.编纂理念上的这种变化主要是社会发展使然.<新时代汉英大词典>以时代性、科学性和实用性为目的,瞄准新时代,服务于新时代接受者,可以有效地延长词典的生命周期,确保其相对稳定性.The change in compiling idea from the politically-cultured complex in A Chinese-English Dictionary(1978,1995)to the information-oriented cultural idea in New Age Chinese-English Dictionary leads to the change from regarding a dictionary as a political teaching tool to regarding it as an academic product out of relatively independent cultural study. The change,resulting from the change of social situations, takes both native receptors and foreign receptors into consideration, which inevitably increases the utility and vitality of the dictionary.
