摘　　要：《当代西方翻译理论探索》一书的编著者通过翻译、介绍和分析 ,向中国读者全面系统地讲述了西方翻译理论的发展脉络、当代西方各主要翻译流派的特点、西方著名翻译理论家的主要翻译思想、西方翻译理论与英汉互译 ,以及编著者对西方翻译理论的展望。该书可以帮助读者深刻全面地理解当代西方翻译理论。The author of Contemporary Translation Theory in the West introduced systematically the brief history of translation theory, the characteristics of every important schools of translation theory, most famous translation theorists in the West, as well as the translation theory in the West and E-C/C-E translation. Most important of all, the author put forward three developing trends of translation studies in the West. These translations, introductions and analyses may help Chinese readers to understand more thoroughly translation theory in the West.
