“世界文学”的命运与比较文学的前景

摘　　要：本文从我国高等院校中文系外国文学教学的历史和现状出发 ,论证了“世界文学”作为一个学科存在的合理性 ,从而肯定经过合并而新设置的“比较文学与世界文学”学科存在的必要性 ,认为这种合并既不是后者对前者的“归顺” ,也不是前者对后者的“吞并”。论文还指出了目前我国比较文学研究中存在的三大弊端 ,强调比较文学的前景不在于切断、而在于强化它与世界文学的联系。Through the analysis on both history and present situ ation of foreign literature's teaching in Chinese Departments of Chinese colleges and universities of higher learning, this paper demonstrates the existing reasonableness of ″world literature″ as a discipline , therefore affirms the existing necessity of ″comparative literature and world literature″ as a subje ct. The author argues that the combination of comparative literature and world literature is neither the su bmission of the latter to the former, nor the annexation of the former to the latter. The paper also po ints out three maladies existing in the present day study of Chinese comparative literature .The author emphasizes that the future of comparative literature will not lie in the cutting-off but in the int ensification of connections between comparative literature and world literature.
