摘　　要：本文讨论基于语料库的研究方法的优点及重要性,介绍Biber的MD/MF模型,并利用该模型对采自LOB语料库及JDEST语料库的样本进行分析,探讨了学术英语与其它书面英语的不同。This paper addresses the strengths of the corpus-based approaches in stylistic study. It introduces the MD/MF model established by Biber and applies it in comparing the differences between the style of EAP and that of other genres of written English. The sample for this paper is drawn from the LOB and the JDEST corpora.
