摘　　要：随着社会的进步和文明的发展,历史文化的遗存成为人类最珍贵的精神财产之一。经济的发展、城市的扩张却往往导致城市更新过程中对历史文化的漠视与忽略。在对目前城市更新反思的基础上,本文对文化解读和文化传承作出了新的诠释,并以南京市评事街历史风貌区作为实证。With Pingshijie traditional block in Nanjing as a case, from the perspective of culture this paper expounds the relations between cultural diver- sity and urban development. Then by summarizing reasons which leads to the losing of cultural elements in the renewal of traditional blocks, it holds that only when people could completely understand the cul- ture and only through developing and dynamic way can they keep the healthy, sustainable continuity of culture.
