摘  要:语言分析认为英语定冠词的非类指用法可以分为四类:文化用法、情景用法、结构用法、篇章用法。对中国学生英语语料库中低、中、高三种水平的子语料库St2、St4、St6中定冠词的使用情况的分析表明:四种非类指用法给中国英语学习者造成的学习困难不同,因而习得顺序也不同;中国学生最先习得情景用法,其次是篇章用法和结构用法,最后是文化用法;在习得过程中,随着学习者英语水平的提高,必要用法的缺失和不必要用法的使用都明显减少;针对四种非类指用法的特点,合理的教学方法、学习策略会促进此语法项目的习得。Linguistic analysis indicates that the nongeneric use of the English definite article falls into four major categories: cultural, situational, structural and textual. The investigation of the use of the definite article in the sub-corpus St2, St4 and St6 from the Chinese Learners' English Corpus (CLEC) shows that these nongeneric uses present different levels of difficulty for Chinese learners and thus they are not acquired at the same time. Chinese learners master the situational use first, then the textual use and the structural use, and the cultural use last. In the process of acquisition, with the improvement of their English, the number of missed obligatory use and unnecessary use reduces obviously. Effective pedagogical methods and learning strategies will promote the master of this grammatical item.
