摘  要:以语言学家乔姆斯基语言能力理论为依据,以学生为中心,采用“自助式”教学法,进行为期一学年的教学试验得出结果:就本试验班以其他平行班相比,在大学英语教学中,“自助式”教学法有利于提高学生的听、说、读、写、译的能力,使学生真正做到自主地去习得语言知识,从而逐渐形成自己对所学语言的语言能力。Based on the linguistic theory of Chomsky, this paper explores the self-help teaching method through one-year teaching experiment with students as the centre in the teaching process. From this experiment, we can conclude that self-help teaching method adopted in college English teaching is conducive to the improvement of students' hearing, speaking, reading, writing, and translation abilities. In addition, when students become more active in class, it is very easy for them to develop the linguistic competence of the language they study.
