摘　　要：日晷既有测时功能,又有守时功能,这远非钟表能比;日晷的异地巧用,又可测出地球的大小,这一实验入选美国《物理世界》杂志“世界十大经典物理试验”。本文把日晷表征时间与空间的功能汇总,还原日晷在揭示与利用自然规律方面的重要功能。Sundial can determine time and keep time,which is superior to watches.Using sundial in different places can also measure the circunference of earth.Physics World,an American magazine,nominates Eratosthenes' measurement of the Earth's circumference one of Science's 10 Most Beautiful Experiments.This article gathers the function of description of time and space using shadows,and points out the significance of sundial for opening out and using the order of nature.
