摘　　要：乔伊斯在《尤利西斯》中大胆创新,通过各种语言变异手段刻画人物性格,反映不同人物的内心世界,体现意识活动的真实性。英国文体学家利奇提出的8种变异形式在该作品中均有体现。如该作品中的词汇变异、语音变异、语法变异和书写变异等4种语言变异进行分析和探讨。这些语言变异不仅极具表意功能,而且还产生了一种“奇特化”的听觉和视觉上的艺术效果,体现了一种全新的、陌生的美。The language deviations in Ulysses can be divided into eight sorts according to British stylist Geoffrey Leech.These deviations broke the traditional reading habit and prehistorically brought forth new ideas in the art of novel.This article will analyze four out of the eight deviations.Displaying the physical nature of language to reveal its density of intelligence and feelings,and its ability of giving meaning to reality is important to Joyce.One of Joyce’s experiments in language deviation is to make formal factors signify.Another is to make the meaning visible and audible.
