摘　　要：本文从研究视觉意象艺术效果出发,分析了威廉·卡洛斯·威廉斯的三首诗歌中的意象带给读者的视觉张力.威廉·卡洛斯·威廉斯是美国现代文坛上一位独具匠心的诗人,他将诗歌与绘画艺术融合在一起,使诗歌呈现出丰富多彩的立体效果.这种写作技巧对现代诗歌的多元化发展产生了重大影响.Carlos Williams is one of the greatest masters in modem American poetry. He skillfully fuses his poetical art and art of painting in his poems, thus giving his poetry a strong effect of visual art. The images used in his poems are much like pictures, striking, clear and concrete, showing the features of cubist paintings. This essay examines and studies three poems by Williams, aiming at pointing out the strong visual effect of Williams＇ poetry and its great attraction to the reader.
