摘　　要：老子虽只留下了《道德经》五千言,但它抓住了自然、社会和人生的许多根本问题,涉及到人类生存和发展的很多重要方面,有的已被不少历史事实和社会现象所验证,其思想深邃睿智,具有抓大放小,化繁为简的特点,《老子》言简意丰,语言优美,实有进一步探索和再认识之必要。Lao Zi＇s Dao De Jing, though a book of merely five thousand characters in all, points sharp to many essential issues of nature, society and human life, and touches upon quite a number of vital aspects of human survival and evolution, some of which have been tested and verified by scores of historical facts and social phenomena, and have revealed a thought, deep, wise and insightful, characterized by a manner of putting complicated things in plain terms. The book, simple in phrase yet with fine expression, deserves, indeed, a further probe and a renewed understanding. meaning,
