浅谈英汉委婉语的异同

摘　　要：英汉委婉语的使用都是为了达到良好的交际效果,两者均与本国宗教、文化传统息息相关,但是由于英汉语言特点和文化价值的差异,英汉委婉语又各具特色,其结构形式、文化内涵也不尽相同。正确理解二者间的相同点和不同点,有助于我们的英语学习与翻译工作的进行,也有助于消除跨文化交际过程中的障碍,加强中英文化交流。The use of English Euphemism and Chinese Euphemism is aimed at achieving better communication, and the two Euphemisms have been closely linked with religion and cultural tradition. But because of language characteristics and differences in cultural value between English and Chinese, English Euphemism and Chinese Euphemism have their own characteristics, structure and cultural intension. To study it can help us study English and translate successfully, remove the barriers during communication with different cultures. At the same time, to strengthen cultural communication can help us understand the likeness and differences of the two Euphemisms.
