摘　　要：现代外语教学的理念是全面培养学生的英语综合运用能力,特别是听说能力,使他们在今后的工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流。在大学英语教学中,教师应通过加强听力训练,增加语言输入;营造良好课堂气氛,让学生敢说;引导学生积极参与课堂讨论等方法来提高学生的听说能力。The aim of modem English teaching is to develop student＇s comprehensive language skills in general their verbal communication skills in particular so that they can communicate more effectively in personal and professional areas in the future. In college English teaching, the teacher should increase language input to enhance listening training, create positive classroom atmosphere to encourage students to speak and solicit students to take active part in classroom activities with a view to improving students＇ listening and speaking ability.
