摘  要:刘勰的言意观是《文心雕龙》诗学体系中的核心论题,但是龙学界对这一问题却存在着简单化、片面化的理解,其原因就在于他们把哲学和魏晋玄学中的言意之辨等同于诗学中言意关系。刘勰言意观的价值和意义就在于,他对这一论题进行了诗学转换,强调了文学语言在文学创作中的重要性,揭示了文学创作的一般规律,对作家的创作和诗学的发展都产生了重要影响。Liu Xie's idea on the relation of word and meaning is one of core theses in the poetic system of DRAGON CARVING AND THE LITERARV MIND, but it has often been simplified and one-sidedly understood. This is becaused the philosophical arguments on the relation of word and meaning in the abstruse learning in the Wei and Jin dynasties has often been confused with that in the field of poetics. The worth and significance of Liu Xie's idea on the relation of word and meaning lies in that he has performed a poetic transformation of this thesis, emphasizing the importance of literary language and revealing the general rules of literary creation. Thus Liu Xie has exerted significant influences upon the development of Chinese poetics as well as upon the literary creation of later generations.
