摘 要:关于教育在社会流动和社会分层中的作用,教育社会学界有两种检视方式:其一,研究学生的社会出身与他们达到的教育程度之间的关系;其二,研究学生达到的教育程度与他们获得的社会地位之间的关系。本文关注的是在第二种审视中针对教育程度呈现螺旋形上升态势所提出的“螺旋形理论”,并从三个方面,亦即“螺旋形理论”的涵义、推进和贡献加以评析。这一理论值得关注的原因,与其说是由于它的新颖以及极具科学性和可移植性,倒不如说是由于它提出的问题颇有启迪,例如,就业难的是哪些阶层的大学毕业生?教育面前机会平等原则真的仅包括“起点平等”、“过程平等”和“结果平等”吗?There are two kinds of perspectives about the role of education on social mobility and social stratification as follows:focusing on the relationship of students' social parentage and education level they reached, and stressing on the relationship of education level they reached and the social status they gained. According to the second perspective,the article probes into the theory of spirality, which is based on the spi- rality rising state of education level, and makes the commentary from the three aspects as follows:the mean- ing, the improvement and the contribution of the theory of spirality. The reason for the theory we focus on is that it not only has novelty,scientific and explanting use,but also it has pointed out the questions which give the people enlightenment,for example, which social class are the graduates who meet the difficulties when they sick for job in'? Does the principle of having equal opportunity in education include the equality of starting points,equality of process and the equaliy of outcome?
