摘　　要：具有道德原则的个体为什么会不按道德原则行事?研究者提出人类具有一种道德伪善的动机,即表面上道德,但只要有可能就会躲避真实付出道德行为的代价。八个系列实验研究证实了道德伪善动机的普遍存在,并发现“避免将行为与道德标准相比较”的自我欺骗策略是道德伪善的必要策略。道德伪善研究不仅为探索人性提供了更加科学的方法,而且为建设和谐社会的公民道德教育提供了启示。Why moral people cannot act morally？ Batson suggested that man have a motive of moral hypocrisy, which is to appear moral in one＇s own and others＇ eyes while in order to avoid the cost of actually being moral if possible. Through a set of studies, he got evidence of the generality of moral hypocrisy, and found that the second self-deception strategy-to avoid the comparison of one＇s behavior and moral standards-was an important contributor to moral hypocrisy. The research on moral hypocrisy not only provides us more scientific methods to explore human nature, but also casts light on our moral education for harmonious society.
