简论第二语言的学习与文化适应的关系

摘　　要：第二语言的学习和文化适应有很紧密的关系,学习第二语言的同时也是在学习一种文化。第二语言的学习是文化适应的基础,第二语言的学习有助于缩短社会心理距离,减少文化冲突。The paper aims to elaborate the relationship between the second language learning and acculturation on the basis of analysis of language and culture, particularly the issues of the extent and the ways second language learning benefit from acculturation. The study also concerns two concepts： social distance and cultural shock. It is argued in the paper that both second language acquisition and second language use require acculturation. Learning a second language equals to learning a second culture.
