摘　　要：性别歧视是英语及其它许多语言中普遍存在的问题,近数十年来越来越引起女权主义者的不满和抗争,也引起一些有识之士的关注。本文通过对英语语言中性别歧视现象的剖析,探讨了女权运动对英语语言文化的影响,论述了女权主义者为争取妇女的平等地位所做出的贡献。Having long been a pervasive phenomenon in the English language, as in many other languages, sexism has triggered an increasing number of complaints and protests by the feminists in the last thirty to forty years and attracted considerable public attention. In an attempt to provide an Overview of the matter, this paper will, through some detailed analysis of sexist phenomena in English, probe into the impact of the women＇s liberation movement on the English language. At the same time, it also makes an account of the contribution by feminists to the struggle for women＇s equal rights.
