摘　　要：重点讨论了支持向量机在模式分类中的应用．针对结构风险最小化准则、最优分类超平面的确定、核函数与参数优化、多值支持向量机分类器的设计等核心问题作了较为深入的阐述．指出了支持向量机中需要深入研究的方面．The application of support vector machines to pattern classification was discussed. Some key problems were expounded thoroughly, including structural risk minimization principle, optimal margin hyper-plane, kernel function and parameter optimization, and multi-class support vector machines classifier design. Some open problems of support vector machines were described.
