英汉隐喻性词汇对比研究

摘　　要：研究结果表明,英汉隐喻性词汇之间存在着诸多异同点,如词汇和理据不同,但喻义和文化内涵相同;词汇、理据和文化内涵不同,但喻义相同;词汇、理据和文化内涵相似,喻义相同;词汇相同,但喻义不同等。导致这些异同的根本原因是英汉两国人民所处的语境不同。This paper makes a contrastive study of metaphorical words in English and Chinese. The study shows that between the two languages there are cases with the following similarities and differences： 1） that have the same metaphorical meaning and cultural connotation but different metaphorical words and motivations; 2） that have the same metaphorical meaning but different words, motivations and cultural connotations; 3） that with the same metaphorical meaning and similar words, motivations, and cultural connotations; 4） that with the same words, but different metaphorical meanings. And the ultimate cause is the difference of cultural contexts of the English speaking people and the Chinese.
